Ingredientes

  • 3 cups Mama Tere lentils​

  • 1 tomato​

  • 2 cups Mama Tere jazmin rice​

  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil​

  • Mama Tere ripe plantains​

  • 1 green bell pepper​

  • 1 tbsp Mama Tere achiote​

  • 1 lb beef for grilling

  • ​2 tbsp Mama Tere garlic paste​

  • 1 white onion​

  • 1 bunch of finely chopped cilantro​

  • 1 tbsp ground cumin​

  • Salt to taste

Preparación

  1. Rinse the lentils with water and add them to a pot of boiling water. Add salt to taste.

  2. While the lentils cook, chop the onion, green bell pepper, and tomato. Add the vegetables to a skillet and sauté with Mama Tere garlic paste and Mama Tere achiote for about 5 minutes.

  3. Once the lentils are cooked, add 4 tablespoons of it to the sautéed vegetables.

  4. Transfer the mixture to a blender and blend until smooth.

  5. Add the blended mixture back to the rest of the lentils. Adjust salt and pepper. Add finely chopped cilantro.

  6. Season the meat with salt, pepper, Mama Tere garlic paste, and cumin, fry until cooked through.

  7. Serve with Mama Tere jazmin rice and Mama Tere ripe plantains
